In the past month I've created some new artworks in the North sea series. This series is the longest running series I have ever made and by now the counter is at 80 artworks. Lately I have been working on larger canvases and I like it. Clients from abroad and in the Netherlands also ask me for larger formats. Painting on a large format has the advantage that you can work nice and coarse, the disadvantage is the manageability and dispatchability of the painting. Last month I had to make a 210x140 crate to ship another painting. What a hassle, but after much effort and the necessary drop of sweat, it finally worked.

One of the paintings is an oil painting, in which I painted many layers. The result is a (I think) beautiful, colorful and exciting painting. I have been looking at it for hours, sitting down. You keep seeing something new and that is the secret of a good painting. After years, there must still be new things to discover in the painting. The dimensions: 80x60 cm. Available in the shop.
