New paintings inspired by autumn by the sea and in the polder landscape

Over the past month, several new paintings have emerged — all inspired by the essence of autumn and the colors that come with this season, both along the beach and across the polders. Not distant or exotic places, but close to home: capturing the feeling and emotions of autumn through color, form, and texture.

The works Autumn Spheres on the Beach, North Sea Series – October, and Eempolder each reveal a different face of the season. From gentle, soft, and warm tones to deep, contrasting colors — every composition reflects another side of autumn: sometimes calm and tender, sometimes dark and dynamic, yet always full of movement and atmosphere.

For me, autumn is a time of change — when the light falls lower, and colors reveal their depth. In that layered richness, I keep finding new inspiration to paint: to capture what passes, yet somehow remains.
