As a plein air painter I like to work outside. From Amsterdam I've made a large series of drawings / sketches. I continue to find Amsterdam an impressive and cozy city: the canals, the beautiful canal houses, the conviviality and the atmosphere.
This artwork: from a boat you have a view of the buildings with the beautiful old plane trees. With pen I set up the lines and then painted with watercolor.
